Tip #1 :
Use a lightweight foundation, moisturizer or a close to your skin color concealer to conceal under your eyes and some blemishes you might have for a more natural "no makeup - makeup" look . I used : ColourPop No Filter Matte Concealer. Click to set custom HTML

Tip #2 :
Set your concealer with powder so it doesn't crease . I recommend you do this with a brightening under eyes setting powder . Lightly powder your face with a powder that fits your skin type and only do it where you're putting your bronzer and your blush so it doesn't go on patchy . (If you're dry only powder those places where you putting those products down but if you're oily also powder the places where you might get oily like your T-zone .) I used : ELF Cosmetics High Definition Lose Powder (You might want to stay away from that one if you are planning on being around flash photography .) Tip #3 : Lightly bronze up your face . Apply it to the areas where the sun naturally touches your face . Example the apples of your cheeks and along your hairline . It should be a light dust because too much bronzer can make it look like you've been playing in the dirt .You can also apply blush if you are a blush girl . I'm not! Bronzer I used : ELF Cosmetics Baked Bronzer Tip #4 : Fill in your eyebrows as needed . If you have naturally fuller brows then you can get away with skipping this step . If not the I recommend you try and make it look as soft and natural as possible so it matches with the rest of your "natural" makeup . For a soft natural brow I recommend using a brow pencil or a brow powder . Pomades can be a little bit too harsh . I used : The BrowGal Convertible Brow Compact Powder. |
Tip #5
Keep it light on the eyes . Too much eye makeup can make your eyes seem smaller and closed which gives you a tired look . The complete opposite of what we're going for . I recommend you use an eyeshadow only a few shades darker than your skin tone to give your eyes some definition and only apply it in the crease and blend it down to your eyelids . You can also put on a light shimmery shadow on your inner corners to brightening them even more . Put on a light color eyeliner on your water line or you can leave it bare like I did . Throw on your favorite mascara and that will be it for the eyes . I used : MorphexJaclyn eyeshadow palette and QiBest Power Mascara . Tip #6 Highlight the top of your cheekbones where the light naturally hits your face . I used : ColourPop Super Shock Highlight in Lunch Money and also the Artis Couture Highlight in illuminati. Tip #7 Bring attention to the lips . With this type of makeup you can get away with wearing any lip color you want . You can put on a nude lip color , a bright one and even a dark one if you like . You can also put on a glossy lip or a matte one and it will work and look just as beautiful . I used : RealHer Liquid Lipstick in I Deserve The Best. |
These tips can also help you if you are looking to not spend an hour on just your makeup or if you are a mom like me and don't have an hour to spend doing your makeup but you still want to look decent .
